One of the most interesting bloggers and builders of our new world is Chris Guillebeau.
Check out his ‘The Art of Non-Conformity’ site for many great and unconventional strategies for life, work and travel. If you have a special interest in conducting business from home and on the internet I also highly recommend you download Chris’ 279 days manifesto.

Reciprocity - one of the key laws of building a new world

Confucius (551 - 479 BC) knew the secret to building a sustainable world. It has been recorded that one of his disciples Tsze-kung asked for one word that might serve as a rule of practice for all one’s life. Confucius asked, “Is not reciprocity  such a word? What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.”

Pay It Forward Day

Drawing inspiration from the book and movie ‘Pay It Forward’ Differencemakers Community Member Blake Beattie has taken the concept to new heights by creating a Pay It Forward Day. This year the day is 30th April. Pay It Forward is simply about doing one to three good deeds for others without asking them for anything in return and asking the recipient to pay it forward to someone else. For ideas on what you could do visit the Pay It Forward Day website.

Tell President Obama Yes we must

I have just signed an urgent petition urging US President Obama to ignore dirty industry lobbyists and to support stronger targets for reducing global warming pollution.

This is really important and I thought you might like to take action as well. Click on the link here to sign the petition urging Mr. Obama that when it comes to bold targets on climate change: Yes we must!

The G20 summit must not allow any slippage

End poverty by 2015.This is the historic promise 189 world leaders made at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 when they agreed to meet 8 goals. The end poverty site here suggests 50 million people may end up in poverty as a result of the financial crisis therefore causing a major setback to ending poverty. The site referred to suggests some great actions you can take if you happen to be in London. I recommend them to you. If you are not in London, do something. The world needs us all to do whatever we can.
